We all face the wedding gift challenge in our life.  We can choose to do something that the Bride and Groom will remember or we can just go and buy a toaster to get the chore out of the way and we feel good because we did our part.  I am going to try to get you to think a little creatively by giving you a few ideas for wedding gifts that are something that will be remembered past the writing of the Thank You card.    This is a special event and calls for a special gift for the couple.

Any of us that are married know that the honey moon ends soon and life takes over, soon its bills, work problems, some personality differences,  you know ,  just life.   One thing that a new couple might really need is a break after a while to remember why they fell in love with each other.  You could give the Bride and Groom a very good bottle of champagne with a “do not open” sign on it.  The date should be about 6 months down the road, and with the bottle, a gift certificate for a weekend at a secluded resort with cabins in the mountains, or a nice suite at a beautiful hotel on the coast.  What a nice gift, a chance to get back in touch with each other after the first 6 months of adjustment to married life.  This will be a memorable gift, I guarantee you.

Married life can be very hectic and full of adjustments, so you could give the couple a book of certificates that will get them each a full body massage once a month at a very good salon.  This will give them the opportunity to do something fun and relaxing together one time a month for the first year of marriage.  Chances are they will go and do something else fun when they are done with the massage.

On the same note, you can give the couple a chance to reconnect once a month for the first 12 months by giving them a gift certificate book for a nice restraint in the area that will allow them to go out to dinner, just the two of them, and spend quality time together.

These are just a few suggestions to help you give a gift that they will not only remember but remember to use.
