Here it is, this is the Big Time.   Being able to give a unique gift is almost an art form.  It is creativity and observation that allows one to be a great “gifter” as opposed to one who gives a gift.   In order to give a truly unique gift, you must know your subject.  You will have to listen vary carefully to what they say and what they like.  If you apply your creativity to your keen skills of observation, you will be able to give the most unique gift that they have ever received in their life.   If it’s not the most unique gift,   at least try and make it the best, and most memorable.  I am going to give you a few examples in the paragraphs that follow and maybe you will be able to pick up on what I am saying.

Some people really like clothes, or maybe its shoes,  whatever it is,  there will be, I guarantee you , a favorite type or brand in that obsession.   Some people like tennis shoes, namely converse, you know, the canvas shoes that are in high tops or low tops.   In this case you may want to go directly to the converse web site.  There you will find a section that is for “custom “ Converse shoes.  They actually have a spot where you can touch the shoe in certain areas to give it a certain color, or pattern, you can spin the shoe for different views, and you can even have your name sewn into the side.  What a neat gift for the shoe connoisseur, their own custom shoes. 

We all know people that collect things, be it a certain type of animal figurine, to any type of collection, to favorite flowers to maybe an obsession for a certain color.   You could give a wonderfully unique and one of a kind gift to this person.  This gift does take some time, so you need to allow for the time frame of when you want to give the gift.  Every college and Junior College has an art department.   What about a custom painting for the gift?    You can place a sign or several around campus, stating you are looking to contract an artist to do a certain type of painting or sculpture, whatever you would like.   These students will jump at the chance to make a few bucks to do “real” work and sell their art.  You will get this gift at a very reasonable price.  Is this Unique or what?
